Steeplechase Apartments

Thin walls, thin floors! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/29/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   You hear everything and they hear you...so if ya have kids just know that you will feel guilty when they cry or play loudly, because you hear everything there, so hence, your neighbors here you and your kiddos too quite well. Also I only have one child thus far and she and my husband and I do not eat on our floors, etc. YET STILL they seem to get diry and stain SOOO easily, as do the cheap counter tops here. (It just seems next to impossible to keep a very clean home) which is a pet peeve of mine to have things looking messy, when I know I clean like crazy! Staff in the office is also young and wishy-washy at times (for lack of a better word) when it comes to lease and apartment details and renewal prices, etc. The pond is pretty and well kept as is the office, but the buck stops there! The complex as a whole is in need of desperate fresh paint, better pool "readiness" (clearing and upkeep of leaves and dirt) and landscaping. As for the insides beware of the vinal "looks like wood floors", they tend to lay them incorrectly here, as our apt. showed and they will have ripples and or even tares in them usually from poor installment. We were also told that we may not be getting our deposit back due to some "outta the blue" B.S. (that we will be fighting them on if need be) dealing with two "delinquent" water payments; which YES we did pay. Funny they never billed us or left notice or even mentioned an issue with any payment of ours till we gave notice of vacating and inquired about getting our deposit back. HMMM!' It's pretty nice looking on the inside compared to some other place I have seen/lived in for the most part...despite cheap/old fixtures and all and the layout/floor plans are large for the 2/2 that is a thousand fourty eight there. So I would reccomend this place to someone willing to shell out about 900$ who is willing to put up with some of the drawback that we have...but as an F.Y.I it isn't worth the hassle and whatnot when you can go down the road and get pretty much the same deal at a younger complex.
