Let me start by saying that I have lived at this property for over 10 years. We have had a ceiling leak in our bedroom now for over 6 months. We have called multiple times to have this fixed and are always told that it is. After last nights storms, we found that once again it is NOT fixed. It ruined our new $3000 matress, several paintings, and books. Our renters insurance only covers wind and hail damage, but the roofer and the claims adjuster have both said that this looks like poor workmanship from when they had the roof redone 6 months ago (the same time as the leaks started). Our renters insurance people have told us that the appartment should have liability insurance to cover this, but the management here says that they will not. We were actually told by the manager that they hire good companies to come out and do work and have had no problems. HELLO!!! THIS IS A PROBLEM!! We have also had problems with our water lines being blocked or turned off with no notice, and they refuse to fix the mud pit they call landscaping in front of our building. I am getting a lawyer to help us break our lease so that we can get out of here before the ceiling falls on us in our sleep. What ever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

Oh my gosh. I am so sorry for the mishap. I hope you'll get this sorted out one way or another.
