Let's start small, i went anonymous because I still live in the apartment. If the office staff ever paid any attention to anyone, then they could guess who i am by what i say, but since they are for the most part rude, unhelpful and only worried about future tenants instead of current ones, i think i'll be fine. it started shortly after we signed the lease, I went through and wrote down everything that was wrong with the apartment and turned the list in to the office, a year later, none of the problems have been fixed except by my own doing. i have had numerous neighbors move in and out and because of that there has been no parking close by for my pregnant wife and the noise when we are trying to sleep prevents us from even trying to sleep. drag racing on ave. k is a problem for the police, but the drag racing inside the complex has never been addressed it seems because everysaturday morning in the wee hours, you can hear the engines and squeling tires. just a week ago i was out on my balcony and 50 people came running from the pool and piled into 4 cars and a truck, moments after they left, squad cars arrived and i witnessed one officer pick up a bar of soap! just today i got an orange tow sticker on my car that the office staff had placed there, this is the really bad part. there has been an old white car with expired, out-of-state tags parked in the exact same spot for over a month and it was not tagged for towing. i called the office to have my vehicle removed from the tow list because i drive it every day to work and the man that answerred in the office asked if a specific car was mine and it was. he said it was an eyesore and they did not want it on their property and it WILL be towed no matter what i do. thankfully, i am moving out next month and my mother has offered her home as a place for me to keep my car so that it doesn't get towed while i sleep. as inconvenient as it is, it's the only way i can keep the landlord of the place i call home from taking my only means of transportation from me.

Hello fellow neighbor, You pretty much hit the nail on the head. We are right next to one of the pools, probably yours. There is also a volleyball court there. It is indeed noisy. I once notified the main office about truck noise, as the college party dudes around here LOVE their noisy trucks. But to no avail...they said they really can't do anything about it. You said that they are more interested in future tenants than present ones. True. The apartment rental industry is based on one thing - SALES. Just like everything else. Leasing agents are REALLY salespeople. They have quotas to meet. That's why turnaround is so high. |
