My husband and I had issues BEFORE we signed the lease. Our leasing agent would not return calls, was never there...we had to sign the lease with someone else. We got a walk-thru a week before we moved in, only AFTER we signed our lease. We were told it was clean but I told them to try again before we moved in. When we moved in the carpets had been vacuumed and that was it. The bathrooms were filthy (toilets still had the rings of feces around the bowl). Not to mention the ant problem. I was told when we moved in that the apts had just had pest people in. When I moved in there were ants in the shower and around the sinks. Not to mention the dead ant bodies left in the cupboards and pantry.
Once moved in the staff was downright rude. I was 3 days late with my rent ONE month and I got a voicemail saying they were going to evict me and sue me. The thing about that, I had called a week BEFORE rent was due to let them know we would be a few days late due to paycheck timing. I never got a live person on the phone but left a msg every day that week. When I called them after the eviction threat on my voicemail they claimed they had no record of my msgs therefore they did not happen.
My car rear window got shot out by a bb gun and a week later my neighbor's window was shot out also. I reported it to the police and to the apt staff and all they did was send out a flyer weeks later that there were car vandalism issues. The gate is ALWAYS open or broken so anyone can come in and the whole place is covered with trash.
My husband and I are counting down til our lease is up. 2 months to go and we can leave this place.
