Ok, after careful analysis I have uncovered the scandal at Tuscany Villas. Here is the game they are playing. They are not recording rent payments in an effort to impose late fees on their tenants. My rent was deposited in the night deposit and mysteriously disappeared. They didn't notify me of a problem until the 7th of the month. The 7th just so happens to be the day a second late fee is imposed for a total of $125. My question is, if my rent was deposited in the night deposit, how was I to know there was a problem until they called to inform me, which happened to be after the second late fee was imposed. By the way, my payment was in the form of a money order which is the same as paying cash. So who has a spare month's rent for occasions that the rent is lost by the office. I have spoken to other tenants who also say their rent was lost by the office. When I approached the management to discuss the matter I was told that my rent had not been paid and was immediately informed that it was a case of he said she said. It sounded like they were speaking from experience. I believe they are purposely disposing of rent payments and accusing tenants of not paying up and charging late fees. How many people are prepared to respond to their threatening notices to evict. My guess is that most people just pay the late fees to get them off their back. Late fees that are probably bogus to begin with. Let me know if anyone else has had an issue similar to this. I believe if we band together, we can expose their little scam.

I want out of here as well!!!!!! Don't think we have any legal way to, but if anyone has any ideas - please help! They did leave my check on my door on late afternoon on a Friday. Thank goodness I came home that day before the office closed , or I would have been charged late fees.

Im having the exact same problem right now with my July payment! They failed to mention to me that I was incurring late fees from my July payment (which was made on time on the 1st) and didn't mention it to me until 9/11!!! How do you lose someone's payment for 40 days then try to tack on 2 months worth of fees without a notice?
