Would still be there if rent did not increase so much....

I loved this apartment complex.

On the few occasions that I had to contact maintenance/staff my issues were resolved within 24 hours. The two maintenance guys there were so friendly they knew me and my dog by name, always smiled, waved and was very courteous.

The apartment complex is very small, cozy and VERY QUIET. I hardly ever heard noise and our apartment was located right in the courtyard/pool area. The only times I heard my neighbors was if they were playing OVERLY loud music but overall I rarely heard people stomping around above me and as they went up and down the stairs to their respective apartments.

The particular apartment I was in was the largest of the two bedroom floorplans that were offered. The floorplan was amazing and everytime I had a new guest over they would comment and compliment how nice of an apartment complex and how large the bedrooms and bathrooms are, especially the master bath.

Of course there were some down sides, however they were very miniscual. As someone said in a previous post, there is a Plano Police Officer living in the apartment. Watch out for him especially if you have pets. He has walked up to me and my mother on two occasions threatening tickets for not having a doggie bag "just in case" my dog decides to take a poop. What he didnt know was on both occasions we had just taken him out previously where he took care of business and we found it no need to have a bag on hand. He threatens people and goes on and on about Plano law. Until you see my dog poop and me walk away from it without picking it up, please keep your mouth shut and mind your own business.

The access gate call box is placed in a horrible spot. Instead of placing it in the center drive between the in and out gates, they place it close to the leasing center so you would have to pull into the closest parking spot and dial in from there. Dont let a car be in that one spot; you will have to get out of your car and walk over to call box to reach your party or put in the access code to open the gate. I have found it to be a bit inconvenient for your guests.

The only other down side to this apartment is the fact that rent CONTINUOUSLY went up the two years that we were there. When we first moved in (around 2002) the rent was very reasonable considering we were in the largest 2/2 apt. The next lease year rent went up almost 30 bucks a month which was still okay, however when it was time to renew for a third year it went up to a ridiculous amount considering that there are apartments down the street (which is where we ended up moving to) where you could get the same amenities plus covered parking, a larger more up-to-date fitness center, and the same quiet property for *literally* hundreds less.

I thought because we were never late with rent, had been there for over 2 years and was really eagar to stay for a 3rd, they would be more willing to give us a break or some kind of incentive to stay...We were sadly mistaken and were told that either we pay the new rent amounts or move.

I understand business is business and they have to run theirs but loyalty to your faithful residents always goes a bit further at times.

Overall, there are good and bad things about every apartment and to me, the pros outweighed the cons and would still be there if rent did not go up unreasonably for the amenities offered.
