My contract was about to end, and I had been looking around for better deals than at Water's Edge. I made a comparison study of what their competitors are offering, and sat down with the assistant manager with my info. She was very friendly and listened to every point I made, and even agreed with me that I could find a lower rent next door. But instead of telling me to either sign a new contract at my old rate or move, she actually offered me a better deal than I got when I moved in. Of course she laid out her "spiel" for me about how most new move in deals are there so that someone will take a chance on a new place but people who have lived here for years know how great it is, and about how spoiled I might be because I'm not used to hearing my neighbors and such, she gave me the deal anyone who was going to move into my apartment after I moved out would get, AND told me how they would help me buy a house anywhere in the country.
Hmph.
Nothing to say after that, but "Where do I sign'"
I didn't really want to go through the hassle of moving again anyway, and it really is a great place to live. Besides. It makes my friends jealous. :-D
