Watch out! I have more than one issue with this management. I would advise that you are very careful with these people.

Be prepared to pay more for your rent than the website quotes. Covered parking and garage rental rates are significantly higher than other apartments in the area who have assigned parking and attached garages. The leasing managers/agents are shady and dishonest. My apartment locator was never paid her commission check. There is no hot tub on this property, either.

Please note, many apartment complexes offer free rent, (1 month in many cases), for accepting a 3rd floor unit. This is because the movers charge much more money to put your belongings on the third floor. Not only did Waters Edge Legacy refuse to offer me any incentives for moving to the third floor, they also charged $40 more, PER MONTH, on my rental rate, than what their company website quoted.

I signed the lease because I like my view and my work and friends are close by. The day before the movers arrived, with my belongings, I found my apartment still filthy. Nothing had been cleaned. The refrigerator, the stove, the oven, the microwave, the windows, the counter tops, the floors.... all very dirty. The bathroom tub, toilet, sink, mirrors and floor were soiled, badly. The patio and storage closet, were filled with dirt, wasp nests and leaves. I was told noone would be able to clean my apartment until the next day, when my movers would be there. I was nice, patient and professional about it. I offered to clean the apartment myself for a credit towards my rent. I was told, by my leasing agent, that management would approve the credit towards my rent. I had no reason to believe that the agent would midlead me, it was only $100. I took the day off and I spent over 9 HOURS cleaning the apartment, I wanted to make sure it was done before I moved in. The credit was never applied towards my rent. When I inquired about the credit towards my rent, I was told I would not be receiving my credit, as had been agreed upon, because I had moved in early! Waters Edge had more than three business DAYS and an entire weekend to get my apartment cleaned, AFTER I applied and signed my lease. I am extremely insulted that I was lied to and I am even more insulted that they refuse to honor the agreement. So much for the "great breakfast buffet" twice a month... who wants to go eat breakfast with people who are rude and lack the ethics to honor business agreements'

It gets better! The faucet in my bathtub started leaking right after Christmas. Not just a drip, but a steady stream. AND, the toilet tank is dripping onto my bathroom floor, behind my toilet. I have submitted two online maintenance requests, to date and I have sent my leasing agent an email, directly to her desk. It has been 7 weeks and NOTHING has been done. I have to close the bathroom door at night so that I do not hear the water running. Every morning, when I open my door, the smell of mold slaps me in the face. The water dripping onto the floor behind the toilet is actually molding the baseboard and sheetrock behind the bathroom toilet. Guess they'll repair it when I move out. In the meantime, my water bill has spiked because of leak in the bathtub faucet. Noone in management or maintenance seems to care. I was told by my neighbor, who used to live in my unit, that the toilet and faucet have leaked before and just were not properly repaired. Shouldn't this have been fixed before a new tenant was charge top dollar rent to live here''''

Trash is left out during the day and on the weekends, all over the complex. There are many large dogs in this community and the mangement does not enforce the pet waste laws. The people around me let their dog use the bathroom right at the foot of the stairs. I smell it everytime I open my door or walk to my car. The security gate at the front is ALWAYS open. The side entrance and exit gates are open half the time and the other half of the time they do not function properly. The steam room has not worked since I moved in. I finally gave up on going there back in December.

The patios are nice and big, the floors have concrete subflooring and the pool is pretty. HOWEVER, if the closets are too small, the kitchens have no storage space, if you can't get a leaking toilet or faucet repaired, you can't get your neighbors to pick up their pet waste and you can't rely on the leasing staff to honor business agreements, how can you feel good about living here'

So...why are you a 3 year resident if it's so horrible?? I mean...I've lived in AMLI properties and while they're nice...you get charged for every little thing AND you get attitude. I've chalked it up to APARTMENT LIVING.

"Chalk it up to APARTMENT LIVING"? Why, we never had to do that before Greystar took over management? I agree with the comment aboce that this website is to help people; and judging from the post and responses, the numbers will prevail.

WOW I have read many posts now, and it's funny how the WATER EDGE DUDE user only has "Suck It!" as a response to anything negative (True) about the complex. Goes to show you what kind of person sides with the staff.
