About a year ago I moved into a 1 bedroom from a 2 bedroom. I have lived at AMLI for 4 years now. Price for the 2 bedroom was decent, but 1 bedroom is a bit high for the square footage. The 1 bedroom I moved into was a total disaster. I basically told them it needed new carpet (they let me see the space before I signed a lease--recommended)-thank goodness they actually did it. The whole place spelled terrible-Like curry. Sooo disgusting. The cabinets were stained yellow from the curry--they wouldn't replace them-just the doors. Still didn't help. I lived for several weeks without my dishes in the caninets b/c it took them forever to replace the cabinet doors. Everytime I get a dish out if smells like curry- so gross. They also just painted over the yellow stained cabinets...paint wont cover up a smell that is so strong. I also made them paint the crown molding which was Stained Yellow...HELLO- If I could see the yellow, they could too. Why not just get the place ready for me. The stupid manager played it off as if they had so much other things to attend to. Bull-every person should be just as important as others. I have finally gotten the smell to go away- all except the nasty cabinets. Just very dissapointed that they would let me move in someplace thats simply not ready. Please ask to see the apt you choose before you sign!!!
