It's ok . . .

I moved into this apartment complex on the strength of other folk's comments that the management wouldn't tolerate much BS by tenants. Seemed to me that if they were perceived as "tough" then the place would be free of late night parties and loud boom boxes, etc.
So, I moved in, and was a happy camper.
A few months after I moved in, though, the complex was sold to another company (I forget who). The extremely friendly and helpful staff was replaced by an average group of people . . .
I've noticed a few changes so far . . .
The dumpster is the type that requires someone to turn on a compressor to compact everything. The previous management company had someone compress all the trash on weekends, now, the current folks just let it pile up on the weekends, and it's messy and stinky.
They used to water a stand of bamboo along a brick wall, but the new management company lets it turn brown.
Another resident who uses the pool tells me they emptied the pool to do some repairs, but never got around to having them done, so they just re-filled the pool, and the bottom of the pool feels rough and jagged. Doesn't seem to affect the residents, though, as far as I can tell. But we do have parents who let their kids play in the pool until very late at night on nights before they have to go to school.
Overall, it's still an ok place, but the new management hasn't distinguished itself in any notable way. It's just something to keep in mind when reading reviews from before Dec 2004.
