Move here at your own peril

While outwardly the apartments seem a good deal for the money, "Caveat Renter". I moved out of these apartments this month.
The apartments had their office broken into and the rent checks stolen. While it isn't their fault they were burglarized, any competent management company would not keep rent checks unsecured in their office on a weekend. I am still dealing with hassles and headaches (and possible identity theft) from my checks being stolen.
The apartments are outwardly well-maintained, but as with any aging property things need fixing fairly often. The problem seems to me that they do not mind fixing things that are broken, but it usually takes them several weeks for simple fixes and even longer for more complex problems. So if you don't mind your house smelling like a sewer for 2 months or waiting a week to get your air conditioner fixed, these apartments are right for you!
In conclusion, it makes me sad to see such a wonderful piece of property have a huge potential, but be so poorly managed. If you are wondering why these outwardly-beautiful apartments are so decently priced for such a good location, know that the pain and suffering you will suffer at the hands of the imbeciles in charge are not worth $50 a month less on rent than comparable properties.
