Moved in summer 2006, have loved living here. Nice thick walls (so no neighbor noise) new appliances, tall counters, big drawers! This is bar none the nicest apartment complex I've lived in. While we're in the biggest 1 bedroom apartment now (1000 sq ft) we need more room so we're hoping to get a two bedroom within the complex. Finding an apartment this nice for such a relatively low cost is so hard!

low cost?I dont know about the "your" size apartments..But regular,750 Sq.ft are the most expensive, ridiculously laid out dorm looking apartments..I can help anybody for free to find reasonable priced single bedroom apts with the same quality, amenities and ofcourse gated..you have to park your cars in open, leaving it to mercy of the idiotic outside teanagers roaming in this complex at midnight..

I actually don't live here but have thought about checking them out & thought some reviews might help me decide. As I have no opinion on the property might I say that what you wrote could not sound more I-am-a-friend-of-the-manager-&-this-was-dictated-to-me-to-d

hahaha! This review must be a joke... or management. If you don't want to feel safe, this is a perfect place for the price. Otherwise, you are getting ripped off.

SLIGHT DISAGREEMENT Since Fall of 2006 until Summer 2008 we have lived in two different sections of Block 24, Bld 5 and Bld 22. I have personally walked into the gym in Bld 23 early one Saturday morning (730am) back in Nov or Dec 2007, to see a teenager curled up in the corner, asleep with his hoodie on. I did not even realize he was there until 20 minutes into my walking exercise, on the poor excuses for treadmills. I have not seen anyone urinate, but I would not doubt it. I have heard such courtesy officer exist, but I have never seen him. I have seen the police about 8 times, because I have called them myself and waited for them to show. Whoever says the walls are thick, does not live in block 24 or the block, or whatever our apartment management group is calling us now. After talking with police about management’s response to noise. All the police can do is show up and report, but people can do whatever they want to do as far as noise in their own apartment dwelling, without regard to others living around them. Block 24 is funny, it is much harder to hear the same irritating noise/music/etc. listening from outside the door versus easily hearing the same sound from your neighbor right above or below you. The only time you have a chance is to have the police show up and catch people acting like fools on their patios or running up and down the corridor hallways between 11pm – 3am. Even with that, management makes too much money from all of us, between $10,000 and $25,000 a year from each person/family in annual rent. They are not going to evict someone for noise, when that person is paying rent on time. If you can afford a house, get one. The updated bathroom and kitchen amenities (counters, appliances, design) are nice, but if you actually do work between 6am – 6pm, and do not mind your sleep disturbed at least 2 or 3 times a week, come and stay with us at the Block. Unfortunately, like any apartment complex, especially this one, it all depends on your immediate neighbors and the environment of your floor and building. If your neighbors happen to work, you may have a chance of getting sleep, and not having to call Richardson Police, if they are up all night, so will you. For future neighbors: Bld 22 and 23 are the loudest, people are 3 floors deep and stacked up, plus they hold 2 of the 3 gyms on property. Bld 6 is loud, just from the proximity to the pool and pool activity after hours. If you pick a place across from the office, you are dealing with the overhyped club room, and noise from gatherings there. Tread carefully.

Bld 23 is out of control. The noise is out of control. The party people go at it all night. The police have been out to bld 23 several times. Beer can and bottles litter the hallways on the weekends We need a security officer to walk the halls all the time. Management does not seem to care about this peoblem. I think they should get the security people on this property today.
