I`ve lived here since 1996 and will be moving next month. (Looking for an apt. in another city, which is how I ran across this site.) It`s an old complex, and the fixtures (sinks, tubs, etc.) and tiles are all functional but not that attractive. I liked living here until 2 years ago, when a new mgmt company took over and stopped screening the tenants so well. THE GOOD: the major appliances were all replaced last year, there are: pest control, curbside garbage pickup 3x/week, access gates, and maintained lawns, the management company seems friendly and throws occasional functions like an easter egg hunt or a barbecue, and maintenance is pretty quick. THE BAD: the swimming pool is tiny and is surrounded by undesirable tenants during the summer, the quality of tenants has gone downhill over the last 2 years, my car stereo was stolen last year, the pizza joint just 2 blocks up the road won`t deliver here after dark anymore because they were jumped/robbed, and the nets on the tennis court were removed because someone kept tearing them up. The laundry room was renovated and looked so nice, then someone kept tampering with the soda machine so it was removed, someone punched a hole in the bulletin board and IT was removed, and people now throw trash, dryer sheets, and lint trap-waste on the floor, which keeps it filthy for 5 days a week until cleaning day. Even WORSE, in the large parking lot by the mailbox, loud, thuggish tenants hang out and play music, which is why now I only check my mailbox at about 8am or 9am, when the thug-types are asleep.
