Looks like a bargin going in. Feels like highway robbery going out. The only thing worth mentioning that is possitive about this place is the amount of space for the money. If that?s all you are looking for, then the Regency is your place. However, if you want to have a home, not just a roof over your miserable head, look elsewhere.



The maintainence is unconcionable here. It took six months to get a broken window fixed in our apartment! We had to resort to sending certified letters to request maintainence in our three bedroom apartment. Nothing like someone that can read the fine print of a lease to get their attention!



Furthermore, the so-called amenities are useless as they are constantly overrun with UNATTENDED children. The tennis courts are always chock full of strollers, bicycles, and basketballs. No one can possibly play tennis for fear of hitting one of the countless toddlers with a stray tennis ball. I?m not even going into detail about the swimming pools. Let?s just say that there is enough chlorine in them to kill way more than the e-coli left behind by the bare bottomed kids that swim in them all day.



The parking is adequate for the residents. However, pray you don?t have guests because they will have quite a trek to make from the guest parking which is at the extreme north end of the complex. Furthermore, there is NO handicap parking access for guests or residents. Lastly, an obvious landscape architecture drop-out decided to plant live oak trees next to most of the parking spaces. Live oak trees produce sap year round! As there is no covered parking to speak of, you will spend a great deal of time and money trying to keep your vehicles clean.



Furthermore, it is impossible to get a response from the management about neighbor problems. When we called in a noise complaint, we were told to call the police... who never showed up. When we complained about the eye-watering, foul odor (sounds rather base, but I assure you, it was a real problem) eminating from our neighbor?s open windows, we were told that it would be taken care of by the manager himself... still waiting... nearly a year later. Now the odor has started to seep into the adjoining wall of our apartment home.



One last thing...Pray for dry days. When it rains, the roof leaks and it seeps into the walls... a great way to grow black mold.



Don?t waste your time or money with the regal dibacle that is The Regency Apartments. It?s low class at its best.
