First the good news. The apartments are cheap and spacious.
There, that is the sum total of the good... Deep breath now.

There are pest problems, lots of thugs, people who listen to the radio WAY too loud in the parking lot. Lots of honking, Broken glass in the parking lots, cars broken into, etc. The parking lot is FAR too small for the number of apartments that it services. Frequently I would have to park as much as 7 apartment buildings away from mine because all the spots were full. The staff in the actual housing office are rude, holier than thou, will NOT bend the rules for any reason and the rules are frequently asinine, and incompetent.

The bottom floor air conditioner at my apartment did not work well AT ALL and I frequently complained, every time I did they would refill it's freon which would help for about a week before it blew hot air again. Finally I found out that it was leaking the freon into the walls of the apartment. I told the complex and what did they do about it' They refilled the freon... Stupid incompetent and lazy when it comes to maintenance. Every maintenance issue I had for 3 years, they would do the minimum they possibly could to patch the problem up and it would always break again shortly thereafter. One time they accused me of intentionally ripping the patio gate off my apartment because their patch job wouldn't hold it up for more than a week.

There was a giant mud pit next to my apartment that was used as a walkway to get to it. I asked them to put a sidewalk there and they refused.

There is a reason the apartments are so cheap, you will spend more on your electric bills due to their incompetent maintenance than you will save, DO NOT MOVE HERE!
