Once Upon a Time Twas Fair - But Alas These Days Mngmt Doth Not Care ! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/26/2004 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004   I have lived here for 2.5 years and have recently had a serious illness and was hospitalized. My rather high rent somehow defies logic concerning current market conditions by constantly increasing - Damned be the standard supply and demand expectations of a normal market condition say this current management.. Anyway, I have always paid rent on time and have been a good tenant (finally they established an auto bank draft - took only 1 year of complaining for this) and I have excellent credit and job (not to boast ) considering the options, I was seriously considering taking advantage of the extremely low interest rates and buy a house rather than letting the dishonest mngmt keep sucking my equity potential. Primarily, I was very disappointed in the dishonesty of one of the mangers - as she was being extremely dishonest about a verbal contract with extension of my lease in order to profit at all cost to even a sliver of integrity. I was assured via phone call that I could extend my 'lease term' at standard rate for a month or two since no one was trying to rent it anyway and I was in the hospital (would have been completely vacant and more loss to the bottom line). In conclusion, they are now sending 'written' delinquent 'month-to-month' deltas in rent (almost DOUBLE PER MONTH --- standard MARKET rate BLAH, YAP, bull ----. (Ive researched and this is now where near..akk!). I'm about to call my lawyer -- not for the money but based purely on principal. How dare they take advantage and lie to me after such long commitment to this place, ESPECIALLY given my current health situation --- after almost 3 years of residency with no problems whatsoever what nerve!. Love to see what a jury will think about this ' especially considering the 'favorable' reviews they are showered with..... Also, my air conditioning filter had about 1.2 inches thick of dust on it which might explain outrageous electric bills over the last 2.5 years (they kept coming and adding Freon or some crap completely unrelated over this extreme amount of time - never once checked the filter -- my lawyer will probably want to see this as well - perhaps related to the health issue'... Anyway, I just really could have used some decency when I got out of the hospital and not getting screwed and lied to and taken advantage of again. Very sad world sometimes it seems... Anyone with integrity still exist out there' .
