OMG I love this site!!!

First these apartments are only avialable for students at UTD and their spouses/children.

I have lived here almost two years now. The rent started at $736.00, went up to $780.00 on renewal (this increase was told to us the day we renewed our lease!) and the next increase is set at $820.00 a month for the 12 month lease. The 9 month lease is going to cost you more. Fortunately, I am moving in August.

The management and maintenace tends to be divided into those who care and those who don't give a ----.

Management is either helpful and understanding or they make you feel like your interrupting them with your problems.

Maintenance requests are usually responded to quickly but poorly done. For example the caulking im my tube had to be redone 4 different times. They would caulk it and it would hold for about 2 weeks, then I would just put up with it until I could not stand it anymore. Finally, I bought some materials and did it myself. This was about 4 months ago and the caulking is just fine. It is important to note I have never caulked anything in my life before. Hence they are primarily just going through the motions.

The carpet sucks and is not adequately cleaned upon renewal of your lease.

You can hear your neighbors water running in the walls, which can be annoying at times. Plus the bathroom fan beneath us vibrates in one of the bedrooms. This request has never been fixed.

The building is poorly build to handle the hot summer. For example my AC kicks in about every 20-15 minutes during the summer.

Some of the apartements have a roach problems. However, I only saw 3 in my apartment the whole time and that was my fist month here.

People drive like maniacs through the parking lots. You need to be a savy pedestrain.

And finally the most annoying thing is a lot of the tenats leave their trash outside of their front doors, which is against policy. Management/Maintenace is slow to respond to this. Furthermore, the trash that does make it to the dumpster does not always get inside of it for some unknown reason. Durning the summer the smell is unbearable.

Overall, if your a student looking for a place near UTD, I recommend you look elsewhere.
