I've had two apartments here. The first was in phase 5 and had a mostly new interior. I was told there were a few roaches but an exterminator had already been there that day so I thought it would be ok. WRONG! At first it was just that, the occasional sick roach crawling, but then the sun set. And then it was something out of horror movie. There were hundreds of them crawling all over the place. After about a year of monthly visits from the exterminator, it got sort of under control. But even so, it sucked. I stayed another 6 months with my room mate and the roaches never really got subdued but at least it wasn't crazy anymore by the time I moved out. When it rained, the window leaked from the wall area above it. It was never fixed.

The second apartment was a one bedroom in phase 2, it had no roaches. Instead the carpet was crap, the washing machine walks across the floor when used regardless of balancing and my neighbors love to yell into the phone outside my door (not in their apartment, outside my door). As with the first, the window leaks from the wall above it, this time it was fixed, but it took a year.

The only good thing I really have to say about them is that they are on UTD, other than that, they just aren't all that great and the price is kinda high for the area. To make it worse, they are jacking up the rent to pay for additional maintenance. Of course, that "maintenance" is checking the air filter once a month. At least it is safe, except for your bike which is likely to disappear.

I will give the office staff a decent review, they do what they ought to, although speed and competence varies depending on which student is working there at the moment. But they don't give you a hassle or the run around.
