We really like it here

We really like it here and haven't had any problems at all. We moved here after selling our home with children and it is much quieter than our former neighborhood. Our apartment is located over garages, so we never have to worry about bothering anyone else. The only thing we can hear are garages opening, which are not a big deal and also the train, which sounds very peaceful to us. Whoever designed this apartment actually knew what they were doing- the plan is terrific for noise reduction.
The staff, especially Beverly and Jamie, have been very kind to us. They are always pleasant when we go in to pick up packages. The apartment is very clean and the maintainance staff is great. The best part it, when there is a problem we just pick up the phone and they come fix it. We are loving apartment life.
I read the other reviews and don't understand why some are so negative. We walk through the open common areas on our way to get the mail often and the dog poop is mostly non-existent. Every time I see the staff they are cleaning or working to make something better. The swimming pool is very clean.
I can't believe how reasonable rent is, especially considering that many plans have a garage or at least covered parking. I think the layout is great; we chose this complex over the Whiteco properties nearby and are using the extra couple hundred a month we would of spent there to keep socking away money for a down payment on our next home. 900 a month for an apartment this large, this close to Southlake and Keller is pretty great.
The location can't be beat, especially if you work near or at the Speedway. Sam Moon is coming to Keller on 35 and Southlake Town Center is nearby. The town of Roanoke is really cute and the rec center, which is less than 2 miles away from this apartment, is only 25 a month per family or less. Keller Pointe wanted at least 75 a month, but that did include an indoor pool. Still, for a rec center with childcare that is new and nice, 25 bucks is really good.
There is a playground nearby and there are lots of families here. I checked with all area police departments and there haven't been any problems here, so again I don't know what the other negative poster was talking about. Safety does concern me, however, so I was glad to see that there are TWO deadbolts on each door. I really like the neighborhoods nearby. If you are a runner or walker, you will like all of the places you can exercise and feel safe.
SBC and Ygnition service this community. Right now, we can get unlimited long distance, DSL pro, and Dish Network (180 channels/dvr/2rooms) for a little over 100 bucks.
The only two negatives (and these seem pretty small) are that the only pizza place that delivers is Dominos and that our first electric bill was 238.00. It might be the windows, so we have put up energy efficient window coverings. Also, we are running a freezer in the garage and are home all day working from home, so that might have something to do with it.
We are very happy here, but we pay our rent on time and plan to fulfill our lease. The prices for everything seem extremely reasonable to us, especially after being homeowners for so long. Hope this helps someone.

I also thougth that the staff was very good until it came time to move out. I gave them adequate notice and attempted to discuss it with them. Beverly said that she would call and never did. I am taking the matter up with the management company itself. I am happy you find it so nice but wait until you try and move out. They will hit you with all sorts of of BS. I was a perfect tenant while there. Plus I work with several current and past tenants. Every past tenant says the same thing. They smile and treat you kind and then give it to you when you leave.

I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience. The only thing I can think of to avoid problems is to give 60 days notice via certified mail? I hope you guys love your new home and that you get a good resolution to the problems. Peace.

The previous management was AWESOME - always so personable to work with. The current management is horrible and JBJB is right - they will get you coming and going when it's time to move out. Everyone BEWARE - even though mgmt presents you with your renewal papers only 30-days prior to moveout - they require 60 days written notice to vacate. This place is a rat trap! |

This complex is horrible, management is even worse. Nasty people if I have ever met any. I wonder if I am living in government housing!! Really it is BAD!
Service calls take many days...If you call for service they get angry! Then for months we have complained about our extremely noisy neighbors. We told management we knew they were young, but this is not a college dorm! Some of us have actual jobs! Our sons grades were even suffering due to the racket...management REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING!!!
The noisy neighbors also have a person living there that is always drunk and NOT ON THE LEASE!! Management does not give a rats @##!!!
