Water is DOUBLE OR TRIPLE

Be careful when renting here - they'll tell you to your face your water bills will only be about $30 per month. Well, SURPRISE!!!
I have a two bedroom apartment but I'm the only one living here. I don't do much laundry, but the big thing is I shower every morning at the health club. My water bill was $59.00.
Previously, I owned a 4-bedroom home with two teenage kids and never had a bill over $35.00. Boulder Ridge adds on $3.00 for pest control per month - yet they never come to service the apartments. They charge $5.00 for trash every month, even though they only pickup Tues & Thurs (why back to back''') but the kicker is they charged AN ADDITIONAL $12.00 for water over and above what the city does, plus an extra $10.00 for the sewer. I'd really like to know how they can legally add to the amounts Roanoke charges for water and sewer.
Are there any lawyers living at the complex. Haha - doubt it, but I'm going to check and hang notes on everyones door.

First of all, please explain something. Or will you just edit your review now... Are you a current resident or what? How would you know that management "gets you coming and going" then? The move in special was great, so they certainly aren't "getting you coming". And if you actually live here, you haven't moved out yet...so...hmmm. My apartment is immaculate and no rat trap. I would never recommend a rat trap to others. Why did you call current managment "horrible"? Why did you call the apartment a "rat trap"? This is a nice place to live and I was trying to help others by posting. I actually live here. JB's comments were cool because he posted facts. Do you even actually live here? I have never seen showers in the workout area, either- are you sure you live in Boulder Ridge? Additionally, the lease we signed included an entire section about water. Our bills are all averaged. Our bill is still 100 dollars under what we were paying at our house, so we decided that 50 dollars was something we could live with. Did you not read the lease? I'm sure you had to sign off on it, because legally they would have to have had you sign off on the arrangment before you moved in. So did you not read the lease or what? Are you sure you live at Boulder Ridge? Or are you just a disgrunted former employee or from a competing complex? That seems to go on a lot around here. Sheesh. 29 dollars a month above what you expected to pay for water, for a 2 BR that is probably under 900 dollars a month? This is the basis for your big rant and threats about lawyers? Next time, read your lease if you actually even live here. Any lawyer would tell you that. |

For your information, not that you deserve a response, but yes, I do live here and have for two years. The first year the water was FREE - yes I moved into this place with the assumption that the water was PAID. Yes, I have a two-bedroom unit, but if you had read it correctly, I am the lone occupant and I SHOWER EVERY MORNING AT THE SOLANA HEALTH CLUB - not the BR complex workout room. I feel that paying $60 a month is excessive for one person that only showers on the weekends. Furthermore, last I checked it's a free country and I don't HAVE to edit my post, and I certainly don't have to tell you WHY I am still living there. Go jump on someone elses case buster. |

I too am a resident and everything above and in the other posts it true... you are told "oh I dont know how much water will be but it will probably be about 30.00 a month for your 2 bedroom", the staff does suck... rudest most worthless people I have ever met... As for another post I agree about the "floodgates" I have been here almost two years and have NEVER seen so many kids in the pool area as I have the past 3 weeks and it is not even summer break yet. Electric bills are outrageos due to the shoddy construction of the complex and if you have a two bedroom you either pay for an extra paking spot or you park a mile from your unit.... The only redeming quality is if you have a window facing the pool you can check out all of the trashy hoochies flaunting it about all day.
