I have been a resident here for almost 2 years. We will not renew this year. The first year we didn't have to pay water but when we renewed we had to start paying. I mean PAYING! I lived in a 3b/2b house in Dallas & avg $40 a month, here is $55-$65 for a 2B/2B. Electricity is outrageous! Avg is $250 a month w/the air/heat only on @ night so we can sleep if we have it on at all. We leave lights off all the time & usually only have one light on @ night before bed & the ceiling fan in the bedroom on when we sleep. There is no insulation AT all. This winter I could see the blinds on my windows moving from the air coming in from outside & wafts of cold air would rush along the floor from the window. My daughter has been in our room the whole time because only one bedroom gets any heat or air. We have to put lots of blankets on her toddler bed b/c it is low to the ground. The room w/poor air/heat has a bathroom that is so cold in the winter that we didn't use it for 3 months. The floor was to cold to step on! It was like walking barefoot outside. The air/heat will run constantly at 78 in summer or 65 in winter. Might be the paper-thin walls that let you hear everything as well!! The trains,cops,ambulance & fire trucks run 24/7 & are loud! And what about the "No Engine Brake" for semi's' Forget It! Someone snore next door' Yep, I hear it! This is the loudest place I have ever lived! And just to top it all off, they put what feels like a million watt bulb in the light outside that two blankets & the blinds on the window can't keep it out. 1am looks like 9am inside. By the way, don't forget to lock the top deadbolt or management will just walk in unanounced! My husband was home in his undies during the day taking a nap & they didn't even knock 1st, they just used a key to come in. He hid in the bedroom with the door locked until they left. What was so important' A notice on our counter. What is the clip outside our door for then' The management is rude & make you feel like you are trash. There are only two people in the office that are nice. I try not to go in unless I see them. The pool on the smaller side is always full of bugs, dirt & leaves. Our bedroom is right above what we have nicknamed "Freaking Bob the Builder". We tried to get our child to nap but he was hammering away every day right under our window! Must be retired because it was all during the week as well. It is very close to everything we need and that is why we moved here & the apartment is a great size, big rooms. I have no issues with what rent is but then we are also riding a special. But I feel like we have gotten a fair deal on that. Over all though, I would not recomend BR to anyone I liked.
