I have lived here for a year and a half and HONESTLY: every apt has its ups and downs, but the pros SERIOUSLY outweigh the cons here.
PROS: Friendly and prompt maintenance (very important and I've needed them a few times), Great landscaping and beautiful pool which stays pretty empty and clean. Quiet complex. Very friendly nice staff.
CONS: Not much going on or people around or walking the dogs so its not easy to make a bunch of friends. THE RENT, it will steadily increase w/renewals and its a bit high compared to the area. No hot tub (small kiddie pool is deceptive). They do mow loudly early in the morning esp in summer. The "gates" are always open (but it still seems safe here.) Traffic, tend to be loud late on weekends (like at most places, but depends on where your unit is located). There used to be a couple of random cats roaming around, but have not seen them since fall). Very difficult to get in and out of because of TRAFFIC due to the new tollway, so the SB I35 exit is like 3 miles back.
But overall- I've lived in worse (west campus at ut) and better (downtown austin on 5th st) but this is great for the area and not bad for the price and I'd bet 90% of the residents like it here (but they don't waste time like me reviewing it online unless they want to vent).
