I will be moving out the end of this month (March 2008) and I can't wait. Since new management took over, All they did was paint the outsides of the buildings and raise the rent. I wouldn't even mind paying a higher rent but everything has gone to hell here. There are broken sprinklers that shoot up like geysers in the middle of the night everywhere. There are floods, mud, and dead grass where ever there is a drain (I can only suppose the drains are clogged). When people move out and put big things next to the dumpster they stay there for weeks. The past management (Lincoln Properties) had maintenance pick them up and put them in the dumpster either that day or the next morning. OH speaking of maintenance . IS THERE ANY''' I had a problem in my apartment it was half fixed and every time I speak to the office about getting the job finished they tell me I'm on the list and they have a lot of things to do. I have personally only seen 2 Maintenance men here usually riding around on their carts or their carts parked in handicapped spaces that are needed for the handicap that live here. I am not prejudice but the maintenance man they sent to my apartment to fix the problem I needed corrected doesn't speak English and I do not speak Spanish so I couldn't explain to him what the problem was and I couldn't understand the little broken very heavily accented English he did speak. I will go into much more detail when I move out. Right now I want to move out clean my apt. and get my deposit back and if I am too detailed right now they will know which resident I am and will probably try and find a reason to hold my deposit. Residents leave their empty beer cans all over their patios (looks great), throw their lit cigarettes off their balcony (So there are piles of butts below these peoples apts, and the resident that lives on the bottom floor gets to look at this lovely view if they want to sit on their patio), hack loogies, from their balcony. I have complained to management about this and they have done nothing. It is not my job to confront other residents for doing these things. Other residents put their garbage outside there front door and leave it for days. Not only is this unattractive. They leak, stain the concrete, makes the concrete smell, and the garbage smell that has leaked into the cement will attract rodents or roaches. There is garbage all over the grounds. Old management had one of their many maintenance men go around the entire complex EVERY morning and pick up all the garbage. When the gates break and won t close they aren t fixed for weeks (why live in a gated complex'). Residents with dogs let their dogs do their business everywhere and do not clean it up so watch out if you want to go for a stroll. Things (not expensive things) but MY things have been stolen from my patio. ETC ETC Thats it for now will update later with details after I get my deposit back. THE ONLY REASON THE RATING ISN'T BELOW 50% IS BECAUSE MANAGEMENT APPEARS TO PUT UP SOME CHEESY GREAT REVIEW EVERY TIME A RESIDENT WRITES THE TRUTH!!!!
OK I'm finally out of that place. Thank God!!! To continue their are birds nesting in every dryer vent so they start chirping over your bedroom starting at 5 am. Not to mention it's a fire hazard. The problem we had was black mold growing inside all the a/c - heating ducts. My mother is very sickly and wound up having to spend a week in the hospital for a bad flare up of her asthma. Do you know how Crest fixed it' They took off all the vent covers and painted with a can of KILZ over the poertions of mold they could reach. We moved out end of March and the still had not replaced the vent covers we lived there with gaping vent openings in every room. When we inquired about when they were going to put them back up we got the we are very busy response and you are on the list. Lincoln management installed a special handicap parking space for my mother (she is very ill). But most times if she went out during the day upon her return the Maintenance Golf cart was parked in the handicap spot. My mother and I when Lincoln properties owned it felt very safe. I could go out for strolls at 11 pm and felt very safe. After crest took over and obviously stopped screening tenants, I was scared to death to go out after dark.
I also noticed one thing the other day when driving by the thing that originally attracted me this apartment complex: Round Rock Police Department right next door. IS NOW GONE.
I could go on and on but you get the idea. MY ORIGINAL POST WAS ON 3/26/08 But it will appear as today's date Since I editted the review. AND I DID NOTICE CREST DID POST SOME CHEEZY GREAT REVIEWS AFTER MY 3/26/08 REVIEW.
PS since my original review wast posted on 3/26/08 you did notice that Crest Management had no response. They did however respond to other reviews trying to claim they didn't own the complex while that particular tenant was having problems.
