So the first weekend I move in the ac dosnt work and my roof is falling in(related to the ac). Seems the drain pipe was clogged and water overflowed into the celing and then caused the sheet rock to fall. So I called the emergancy number(its a Saturday at 6:30 pm), about 30 minutes later I get a call back. He comes out and looks and says what the issue is and he will come back out on Monday to fix it. So i put towells down and set in the heat of the Texas summer with no AC for 2 days. The guy came out and fixed it and it worked fine for 1 week. Well the next 3 weeks the compresser was freezing on the AC. Took 4 more visits to fix that issue.
After that all was well for about 6 months then I started hearing a buzzing noise about 15 hours a day, it sounded like someone just got "best of 90's bass" cd and a new sub and played it all day long. I never could find the source of that. That went on for the next year or so.
Next was the eviction notice...I paid my rent every 1st by droping it in the slot.
Well one month I got a notice posted to the outside of my door (on the 3rd) saying I was going to be evicted (on the 10th)for failure to pay. So I go to the office the next day and told them I paid just like always, well after looking around the office they found it under one of their desk.
The way that should have been handled is they could have called or sliped a note inside my door not posted a eviction threat to the out side after just 2 days.
Other then that the experince wasnt that bad.
Good things...
Parking was fine, noise wasnt too bad, everything was clean, the gym was always empty
Bad things...
Pool was always full of noisy kids and/or drunks, no hot tub, gym equipment is old, office hours are not helpful to those of us that work(they leave at 4:55 most days), trash hours were bad and no access to the dumpster

| We are sorry for the A/C problem from two years ago. A/C units can be complicated and have a few different things that can go wrong. You shouldn't have had to stay without A/C. That is terrible and we are sorry for that. We do have portable units now when we can't fix heat/air immediately. The notice you received is what we legally give everyone when rent is not paid. I remember this very vividly and the rent check had been put in the night drop and had somehow made it under the table that sits next to it. This is the only time in over 2 years that this has happened (we now check under the table every month) Unfortunately with over 200 units we cannot call everyone who pays late, we have to give the 4 day notice. There are children that live here and they use the pool with their parents. Hopefully the issue with drunks is being taken care of since the Sachse police are handling the issue first hand. The pool is really nice in the evening time and it isn't always full of kids. The gym equipment isn't that old, we bought it when we came here in 2006. Trash hours are good compared to what they were previously. They were originally 2 days a week trash pickup and the compactor was locked like it is now. We pick it up five mornings a week now so you don't have to pile your bags up. We cannot give access to the dumpster because it is a compactor and can be deadly if someone were to get into it. The office is open 9-5 Monday through Friday and 10-4 on Saturday. I don't know why you would be under the impression that we leave at 4:55 most days. That is completely untrue. I am not saying it has never happened but 99% of the time we are here until 5PM. We are ready to leave work on time just like anyone else. Again, sorry about the A/C, it would not be handled the same way again. | |

I understand your problem with the bass. Someone moved in behind us and has to have a home audio set up worth a couple of grand. It vibrates EVERYTHING in our apartment and we're down stairs. You'd think the earth would absorb some of the vibrations - nope!
I don't visit the pool or gym... I'd expect it to be about the same everywhere.
Only reason we're still here is because of the low crime and police that are in the parking lots a lot.
