OK, where to start... Well, I was stationed here by the military and looked a quite a few apartments before I made my decision on this one. This specific apartment is suppose to be the newest apartment in San Angelo, TX which was built in 1999. From what I am told and have noticed myself this apartment is lacking in the integrity of the construction (which I will go into detail below). I would agree that the cabinets are newer as well as the appliances too. Encino is currently working to make all apartments have wooden floors instead of the old tile. It does promote the apartment to look better. Well, lets get into the details --->

Positive things about the apartment is that the community is very. The apartment grounds are keep looking neat and clean. The staff seems pretty nice as well. The laundry facility is kept clean as well. You can get covered parking and there are trash receptacles close to every building. There is a ceiling fan and walk in closets in every room. Also, since Texas is now decentralized Encino park has worked out a deal to get a fixed low rate on the kilowatt per hour.

Negative things about Encino Park, that I have noticed, is that condensation on the windows builds up do to the temperature changes in and outside on a day to day basis. The issue with that is that you end of getting a puddle of water on your window sill which can run over onto the carpet. If you don't wipe it up it will leave a dirty stain or even create household mold. This is due to the cheap construction with little insulation around the windows and also cheap windows (what I hate the most about the apartment.) Another thing I disliked was that if you live on the lower floor you will hear everything above you! This includes the water pipes in the wall, when someone wakes up at night or in the morning to do business, or just walking around in general. Really annoying and didn't have this bad of an issue at other apartments before. Other issues are the locks are cheap on the doors; dust will settle in the heating system and when you turn it on it will create a small amount of smoke and thus your smoke detectors will go on. (funny though); I didn't have very good carpet in mine since it was worn and had spots on it; walls are thin so you will hear the freeway as well as the children playing outside; ventilation system is noisy and centered in the middle of the apartment in the hallway; and last but not least a bad setup in the bathroom to include poor lighting, poor towel holders, and a big ass cabinet in the middle... Overall, I really don't like this apartment. Some are a little nicer than others for the light fixtures and blinds but in the end I think I got a lemon. If you decided to get an apartment here, and this is no brainer, make sure you SEE THE APARTMENT BEFORE SIGNING THE LEASE!!! That way you know what you got ;)

I know they show the apartments prior to getting the apartment. I would agree with the mold, pipes, and heater. But overall it is a good apartment and they are kept up well. The staff goes out of their way to get things done in a timely manner. Its a lemon because you are sour about something. I feel you rated this a little too harshly.
