Inexperienced Management And Questionable Neighbors Killed It For Me
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 1/7/2009
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
--Yes, these apartments are small but they do get you in a great part of town. Plus, they are inexpensive and my electric bill was always under $100.
--While the laundry room is a good sized, probably 8 washers and 8 dryers, you can forget about doing laundry there on the weekends; you will rarely find an empty washer.
--Parking for tenants is adequate but you can forget having company because there isn't anywhere for them to park.
--Before I moved in I was promised a remodeled bathroom, but the day I moved in they bathroom hadn't been remodeled. Then again, management had changed hands from the day I put down the deposit and the day I moved. A timespan of probably 2 weeks. (I later learned the old manager was deathly ill and ultimately died.) The new manager was very young and inexperienced and definetly NOT a people-person.
--I also had neighbors who enjoyed smoking marijuana. I wouldn't be complaining about it if the smoke/smell didn't seep into my apartment everytime they smoked. Managment didn't seem too worried about it either. She had maintenance come by and attempt to remedy to problem. Too bad that didn't work.
--A few months later, an apartment was raided by SAPD. Don't know the details of that but found out later they'd actually raided the wrong apartment!!! SAPD should've raided an apartment in the next building.
Don't know if this particular manager (Chelsea) is still there or not, but she had a lot to learn when I resided here.
