worst apartments i ever lived in

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
As a current resident here,We can?t wait to move out. The staff started out friendly and then grew incredibly rude. As far as getting things fixed in my apartment, it stinks. I could call about 2 or 3 things that needed fixed and they would come in a fix only one. I would have to call again to get the other things fixed. The quality of work is also very poor. I believe it is like that because of lack of experience in the maintenance workers. Now about the outside of the apartments, lack of caring for the buildings really show. The stairs are in bad shape, as if they were never maintained. Screens on windows are torn up, and wooden balconies are falling apart. They are in fact in the process of replacing some of the wood work, but how long that will take has remained to be seen. The grounds are well kept though, although I think mowing the grass when there is no grass to mow is a waste of money and time. Would you mow grass that doesn?t need to be mowed' I don?t think so. Also, it states clearly in the lease that there should be absolutely no ?non-working? vehicles parked in the parking lot. Right as you are reading this, there are a few that fit that description. The staff in the office doesn?t seem to care, or the vehicle belongs to a tenant that works for Newport. That just doesn?t seem right. The rules should apply to everyone. Rules like; no driving on the grass (to unload your furniture). Maintenance workers seem to be able to do so, but not you. So if you get an apartment on the back side, guess what, you are out of luck. Parking is also an issue that needs to be addressed. You can never find one. And park just an inch in the no parking zone and you will be warned to move.
Overall, this apartments sucks major. Don?t waste your time with this one. Look at College Hills West, Sunset Apartments, Alamo, or Wellington. These apartments are not worth the trouble you will encounter upon moving here.
