Can't wait to leave

This place is awful. What others say about the washers and dryers is very true. Drying clothes is like gambling. Sometimes your clothes will dry, sometimes they won't. Either way, the office staff doesn't care as the machines don't get repaired.
The appliances inside the apartment are extremely old and useless. You have to put clean dishes in the dishwasher if you want it to clean your dishes. The stove and oven do not heat evenly or properly. If you bake, your food will be burned on the top, and still cool and uncooked on the bottom.
Maintenance is a joke. My dishwasher broke in July and didn't get fixed until January, after I made several calls and visits to the office to get it repaired. All that was wrong was the fact it wasn't draining, so by the time they fixed it, it was full of mold, which of course I had to clean. My disposal (which talking with other residents, i understand not apartments get these) broke and it took them a week to fix it. They also replaced the light in my kitchen, but left the dead bulbs on my table and their shoe prints on the top of my stove. And my toilet STILL leaks after about 9 months... And just this morning as i left for work, I drove past a couple maintenace guys who were setting up the flags, and boy did they give me a dirty look. I wish I had remembered the part of my lease that said if I make two requests to have maintenance work done in writing without it being resolved in resonable amount of time, I could terminate the lease. It takes them weeks to replace the light out side your door, but they don't even light the parking lots or the stairs. good thing the apartment complex next door does; you can see uding their light.
If I don't have a radio or tv on, I can hear the people who live below me talking. There also parties here like every weekend and it gets loud and annoying fast. No respect from any of the residents or staff.
You had better be able to take one quick shower, hot water only lasts 10 minutes even though you have your own water heater.
When they replaced some of the wooden decks, they would take out wooden planks infront of your door and not replace them for a day or two. Having to watch my step just to get into my apartment isn't something I ever thought I would have to do.
It's hardly possible ot find an empty parking spot unless you come home at 3pm. But its a small tight parking lot and being in Texas, people love big trucks, so sometimes I have to make 3 point turns just to get out.
Some of the homeless/jobless people use the apartment complex area to stay at night.
Being in the Military, I signed a year lease so that I could pay rent through allotments. It makes it easy if I get deployed. But when I did deploy, it was over the time my lease would expire, so I renewed for six months so I wouldn't have t look for a place to live when I got back, which would have been right during the holidays. I wish I hadn't signed that lease. I'll be moving out in May.
