My husband, baby girl, and I lived here for about 6 months in 2005. Here are a list of the pros and cons:
*PROS:
-A quick 5-10 min drive to base
-Pretty grounds
-1 min to the freeway entrance
-Indoor year round hot tub
-Steam room
-I never saw any cockroaches. That was definitely a plus!
-on site launder mat
*CONS:
-No military clause, meaning if you sign a 6 month contract and all of a sudden are transfered somewhere else before your lease is up, too bad. You'll have to keep paying rent.
-If you have a dumpy car, they may give you a hard time. Heaven forbid you should park it in their lot.
-Even though it is hot year round, the pool is only open a few months
-The "gym" is crappy and full of rusty equipment
-We were constantly battling mold ALL OVER our apartment. That gave it a funny smell.
-It was a furnished apartment. The furniture was CRAPPY. The bed squeaked and was sooo hard. I missed my soft bed.
-We had a red ant problem in my baby's room. She got stung a couple times! We had to put duct tape around the window to seal them off.
-The manager, Margo, was cold and unfriendly.

***Overall this was an okay apartment, compared to a lot of my friends, who lived in VERY crappy apartments for like $50-75 less. It was worth the extra money to me.
