It is illegal for apartment management in the state of Texas to modify a fixed term lease agreement in the middle of it without both parties consenting if there is no specific clause allowing them to do so. This includes raising rent. Lacy has got to be out of her mind (or whoever runs this ghetto now). It is immoral to send out those stupid fliers they did stating that if you don't show us 6 paystubs (for what') immediately that my rent will increase by $59. That is a flipping joke and not only do I plan on speaking loudly to the office staff in the morning, I will also be posting notes in the mail area stating the illegality of their intentions. If they want to raise my rent to over $500/month, I think I (having paid my rent ON TIME for 18 months and having no violations WHATSOEVER and being in the middle of my 2nd and last 12 month lease) ought to expect my carpet to be replaced "immediately" and my stove burner to be fixed "immediately" and my cracking walls as well. This is ridiculous Lacy, really. Just because I'm a single mom doesn't mean I'm mentally challenged.
