I LIVED and WORKED here. It was bad for me for obvious reasons but I was reading some of the reviews and I have a few comments. The comment about the crack pipes and all...I left right before that but I never heard about or saw "a bunch of crack pipes and needles". As for the comment about management leaving them around is ridiculous! I also read the one about someone getting their car broke into...folks, that happens EVERYWHERE! I believe that's the incident where I told them it had happened and got a police officer out there in 5 minutes flat. Some people who write bad reviews are correct in their descriptions of loud music, thin walls, some maintenance issues, painting problem, and the manager and assistant manager (watch out for those two - you'll never win). But others are just spiteful and mean just because THEY BROKE THEIR LEASE AND DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT! Just know that some of the leasing consultants go in wide eyed and bushy tailed just there trying to help (like me) - please don't think they are all alike. Just make sure you go back more than once to see an apartment and the personalities of ALL office management (if possible). You'll be able to tell the ones just waiting for you to "sign you life away" and be done with you. Oh and one more foot note....Beware of moving out of here...make sure you write down EVERYTHING and TAKE PICTURES at the begining....they will gouge you if they can - they pretty much ALWAYS DO!!!!!

I moved out a month ago. The big problem right now is they are trying to claim we had an unauthorized pet and are charging us for pet damage to the carpet. We never had a pet in the apartment!!!!! I am getting the run-around between the local office and the one in Dallas. We gave the required amount of notice, cleaned the apartment, filled every nail hole in the walls, and left the apartment in better shape than we found it, were never late with the rent, and never caused any problem so I am really taken aback by this charge. They want $500.00 on top of our security deposit. Can anyone offer any suggestions for getting this cleared up? We should have the deposit refunded and certainly should not owe them any money. I have considered an attorney or filing a claim in small claims court to resolve this, but since we did not do anything wrong I should not have to. Any help any one can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to tell you but they are the best at this game. Did they give you a lease violation? If they did or didn't just remember to go in there nice as pie. They write EVERYTHING down...which is why they normally win...they seem more prepared. I would have suggested taking pictures of the carpet on top and under....but you are already out. I would see if you could find out if the carpet was replaced or cleaned before you moved in. If it was cleaned then possibly the renters before you had a pet and they just cleaned it. That would be your best bet. Sorry, and good luck.
