I try to find the best in everyone, but it's very challenging to find anything great or remotely good about the staff at Altamonte. I should have trusted my insticts during my initial encounter with the staff, but the pricing lured me in. Don't get me wrong, the apartment sizes are nice and very economical compared to other apartments, but one should not trade common courtesy from staff for a decent-sized, old apartment. The staff, including the manager who I assume should be the leader and lead by example, is rude and incompetent. They provide false information, blame the tenants or customers, miscommunicate and do not listen. I have had multiple issues with maintenance requests not being filled or communicated for that matter. I had actually referred some friends here when I first signed the lease because of the good prices. They actually had horrible experiences with the staff from the beginning and ended up not signing a lease. I wish I had their luck!

If you have issues with the staff that understandable. But dont rate things that are really good about the apartment as ones or twos. Im looking at your ratings above as I type this. All ones and twos. If the actual apartment was as bad as you rated I would think your written review would have explained why and stated the issues/problems that caused those categories to be rated like you did. You only mentioned the staff in the written review. To me it sounds like someone had a specific or general problem with a staff member or with the staff in general and is trying to vent by being revengeful and bringing down the apartment. Your review is the odd man out with the other reviews. As with any apartment there are always going to be people with issues. Its unavoidable. Everyone cannot be pleased because this is not an ideal world. But if you have issues just with the staff dont bring down the apartment. Im proud of were I live and when I see someone put down where i live and not have anything to back it up other then ???shes a meanie??? (figuratively speaking) i get frustrated. I guess thats why I am writing this.

I'm in agreement with the person above. If you have issues with the Office Staff... then give the office staff a bad rating. But you gave everything a bad rating even though you said, "Don't get me wrong, the apartment sizes are nice and very economical compared to other apartment." Then you should have given the construction at least a three. I think the writer of the original response should edit their review.

ok. what i need to know is, is it a quiet apartment complex? is it safe?i am so afraid of apartment complexes these days. it seems everywhere i live. it is so noisy and so unsafe.

Quiet? Pretty much, although we experienced loud, drunk kids outside during the week often. To be expected in a lower-end apartment complex, I am told. Grounds pretty well kept, but buildings (in Phase I where I was) are on the old side and have some issues. My utility bill was well over $200 every month, and you have to ask to have the filters changed, as opposed to other complexes where I've lived which were on a normal schedule for such maintenance. Safe? Hard to say, from my perspective. It is a gated community, but there are often issues with the gates. And I felt it hard to feel secure when so many people follow residents through the gates. Hard to avoid? Yes. But I feel living in a gated community is rather a false sense of security for that reason. I had more solicitors on my doorstep than any other place where I've lived, and it was gated. I never felt it was very secure. And some years back there was a fatal shooting at this complex. Perhaps an isolated incident, but safety is a relative term.
