I lived there for 2 years. When we first moved in, no problem. I was in a 2nd floor unit with a sky light. That seemed like a good idea as the living room does not have an over head light. Well when the summer hit, the temperature rose in the apt, even the AC could not keep up and would break down all the time. They had many many different reasons why they could not fix it right then, its raining, its Sunday, we dont have the right parts, no one is here right now..ect. It took them 4 times comming out to fix it.
I dont like to move around alot so I signed the lease for a 2nd year. They raised my rent by almost $90! I asked why' The response: Its the market rent for your unit. Not true. I checked to find out what the unit was renting for and found it around 5-10 dollars more then what I had been paying. Then as an incentive for staying they offered to clean my carpets. I agreed. I worked nights and slept during the day. I told them NOT to come before 12 noon as I would still be sleeping and I got up around 12ish. And I wanted to be able to move stuff so the cleaners would be able to do their job and to put up my cat. I was told no problem. We will call you before we send them over.
I wake up and hear a loud noise, thinking its outside my window (lawnmower), I try to go back to sleep. Its gets louder. I sit up and look at my alarm. Its around 10 am. I get up go to my bedroom door, and hear this loud noise, sorta like a leaf blower or vacum. I opened my door and there stand 2 men! I nearly passed out from fright! I am standing there in hardly any clothes. I was not expecting to see some stanger there in my aparment. I slamed my door and locked it. I was shaking and getting to dial 911. But the guy knocked on my bedroom door and told me who he was and why he was there.
I had locked my door and bolted BOTH locks the night before so I dont know how they got in. I called the front desk and was told that I had wanted the carpet cleaned and that if I wanted to change my mind then I could just tell them to leave! You must be kidding me! Here I am alone, with 2 men in my apartment who did not even know I was there. They were told that I was not home and was given my keys. I was pissed. I knew then and there that I would be leaving at the end of my lease. This was not the last time I would wake up to find someone in my home that I did not let in. There were at least 2 other times. There is no saftey here at all.
Then my car got towed. I was parked in my spot that I was paying for, but becuase the curtsey officer did not read the sheet right, he had my car towed. I woke up and it was gone. That night about 7 cars were towed from that parking lots. I have to say I pitched a pretty bad fit. Took them forever to get me my car back. And they wanted me to pay for it! I informed them that my car was towed illegaly as I was paying rent ($20 per month) to have my car in a covered space and it was the fault of the curtsey officer and that I was not paying another dime and I wanted my car!
I never had any problems with bugs. Just the maintance people and the front end people. When I moved out they charged me over $1000 for cleaning and other stuff. I photographed the apartment when I moved in so I have proof of some of the things they said I did. I am disputing the charges. If I could give anybody advice, take photos or videos before moving in. I was not able to see this unit before I rented it. I was shown the model and did not even know where my would be until the day I moved in. Also if you do decide to move in, install a chain lock and use it. I still do not know how they were able to get in. I really did use the bolts and I dont think the cat was letting them in.
2 apartments got broken into, one right after another. There were muggings in the parking lots at night. The police were always there looking for criminals or answering domestic dispute calls or drunk calls.

What a liar!!! I have lived there and if you do engage the keyless deadbolt, no one can get in. Also, I live near one of the courtesy officers and asked about the break-ins -- there were none.
