My apartment is very big, spacious, and it has full size washer and dryer hookups. Neighbors so far have been mature and respectful. Nice place for small families. Any mishappenings(car break in) have been reported to the police and residents were also NOTIFIED. Place is clean and manager is pleasant.

I have lived at the Arboretum apartments long enough to know that we are NOT NOTIFIED of break in by our apartment manager. We have seen S.A.P.D. Evidence Gathering Units and police cars on 2 diffrent ocassions int the same week. On one ocassion, someone broke into a tenants home in the daytime and another 2 police cars leaving the property, and a tenants motorcycle was stolen and it was just by chance that we saw police and tenant's flyers regarding his stolen vintage Harley Davidson. On 9/12/09, we saw on KENS 5 news at 7:30 am, that Jacob Moran was caught by S.A.P.D. trying to cash a money order that he stole from the Arboretum drop box. The office has failed to inform the tenants. They have failed to repair broken lights in the parking lots and around the exercise track, therefore there are dark areas and it makes it very easy for vandalism to occur as it had in the past with car breakins. We can't wait til our lease is up and we are out of here. We had an occurance ourselves and our lives were put in harms way by someone high on drugs. This is NOT a family friendly place...at first it was but it has gotten really bad. Crime rate is getting worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't count on the office to let you know when crimes occur.

I am going on my fourth year here at arboretum apts. i have lived at many other complexes and every one has had breakings and vandalism, stolen cars, all kind of unlawful events. i take it upon myself to check in at the office a few times a month to say hi and ask about any happenings. i have never been lied to by management ,we have had less occurances here in four years than i had at my last complex on babcock in two years. i feel more secure here then i ever have.yes there is a problem with the parking lot lights, but management is working on that and other problems and i believe they will make this an even safer place to call home.

wow, thanks for letting us know what was happening... i am going to be more vigilant now. Management needs to get in gear and hire a security guard. It will be worth it and hey, maybe this security will attract more residents to move in!

Management lets residents know of some occurances but not all of them. It took several days before we were sent a notice about the robbery of the lock box and apartment break in. I know others that have had there home and vehicle vandalized and there was never a notice sent out. I have cooperated in the past and I will continue to look out for my neighbor. But I am out of here as soon as I can without having to break my lease. I want to feel safe and I need to have confidence in the promises that management makes. Bethany, a former manager said that we would have a security guard and that never happened. There are no security cameras..lights in the parking lot have not been fixed. Yes we will stick together and be on the look out because we care .all I did in my previous note was let people know what was happening because the office failed to let us know as soon as these things happened.

I moved out last year august 2008 because of horrible residents and breakins. I believe everything went down hill when the new management came in that is why I moved from these apartments. It had to much in and out of traffic that is why there is a lot of break ins usually it is residents guest. Legally management should notify the property about theft around the area. I will never go back there I live here in my residence for a year and I had no problems and it is a apatment community.
