I have lived here for 3 years now, and just in the past year we've started having problems, our car has been boken into TWICE! A homeless lady asked me for money while I was walking to the mailbox. AND the latest complaint...Over a month ago I complained about seeing rats in my apartment, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! Management told me that they've had a lot of rat related complaints and "they're woking on it" Well, in the last 3 nights I have killed 6, yes 6 rats in my apartment! The next one I kill is going on the managers DESK, if I have to live with them, so will she...-----.

I dont really have an explanation for the rats, other than maybe it being because the apts are close to a field and the cold/recent rains drove them out to seek shelter at people's pads. But when I saw your complaint online and it said you only had problems with break-ins within the last year but no the whole 3 years, I know why. It's because of all the Katrina victims moving over to other areas in TX, including SA. That is why crime has gone up and we are also having all of these home invasions all of a sudden...because that is how they lived in Louisiana. Not all hurricane victims are bad people, but probably 80%-85% are. Unfortunately, they are ruining our city and will probably drive up renter and auto insurance rates and apartment rates just like in Louisiana. If you are skeptical, remember Houston residents protesting about Katrina refugees causing havoc and wanting them to go back home.

Yes. I agree whole heartedly. About 1 year ago, I returned to SA after living in CO for 1 year. I could not believe how much the city had changed. I immediately saw the difference and commented to my mom, "What the heck has happened to this city?" Answer: The Katrinites have definitely invaded, driving up the crime rate not only in the NC area, but the entire city. As for the rats, they came from the building across the street (mini-mall). They had to go somewhere, so they headed for mostly bldg. #3 at Braesview.
