when I first moved here a few years ago, it was a really nice place to live. Now it is becoming a real hole. The grounds never get watered (I assume this is so that they dont have to pay landscaping crews) and there really isnt grass anymore, just weeds and mud. We have a real problem with people from the adjacent apartments coming over and using the pools, after talking with the office, their solution was to put up sigs saying that the pools are for residents only. It didnt work! We used to have a wall seperating us from the other complex, but that was torn down to build a new one - last year. Nothing has been done on the wall because, as the people in the office say, the original contractor took off with the money. I understand that it really sucks for that to happen, but dont make us suffer. I have seen SAPD chasing people from the other complex and they come right into ours, I watch people from the other complex walk over through our complex checking out cars (by the way, the break ins on cars here is escalating) and people speed through our complex and just drive over the curb to get into the other complex. My neghbors and I have tried to address these issues with the office, but it seems they are too busy handing out the most ridiculous lease violations that I have ever heard of. It seems to us that they are trying to make sure every tenent has at least one. Guys, when you have as many empty apts as I have seen, you shouldnt be chasing off the current tenants. Also, dont get a sense of security when the office tells you that there is a security officer on site that goes around at night, thats a blatant lie. One of my neighbors (who is a cop) has done more for us than the office has, chasing people off that are trying to break into cars and walking around our little area to keep things safe. Finally, make sure you be careful about what you leave in your apt when you go to work. Most of us are convinced that maintenance has been into our apts when we are gone and some people have even had stuff stolen.

Change your locks if you think maintenance has been in your apartment without your permission. Then when the office contacts you about you changing your locks, that's when you know for sure that they are trying to enter your apartment to take your stuff. If any of my stuff is ever stolen by maintenance believe me they're going to be in a world of hurt, every last one of them.
