We moved out of the apartments in July 08 and are still fighting to get our security deposit back. They claim that there was a problem with their accounting system but nobody seemed to know how to fix it. I spent months on the phone and sending emails. I finally received a check in Oct 08 that was for the wrong amount. I'm still trying to get the rest of my deposit. My phone calls and emails are no longer being returned.

The Bethany Group, owner of Braesview Apartments, has filed Ch. 11 Bankruptcy, and apparently the office was closed this week. I moved out end of February and have written off ever getting my deposit back - I'm just glad I got out when I did. If you Google "Bethany Group", you will find a number of articles about apartment complexes they have defaulted on/abandoned all over the country. (Houston, San Antonio, Arizona, California)
