I've lived here for 7 months and have loved it so far! Seeing what others have to say, they seem like a bunch of petty complaints! The manager of the building is very helpful and very understanding. She usually always makes it a point to acknowledge everyone even if it's just a friendly wave. I can say that the sound of flushing water through the exposed pipes is a tad strange at first, but eventually gets blocked out just as the sound of the helicopters that nearly land on the building every few hours. I think the floors should have been prepped for living a little better as your feet will get a little dirty walking barefoot, however these floors are over 80 years old. The cabinets and appliances are a bit cheap looking, but I've seen worse. I've read some complaints about the excessive noise and what not, and I guess living on the corner of the building maybe I'm just sheltered from that. The only noise I can honestly say that I don't like is the obnoxious trolley voice that passes every few minutes. Parking is usually always available and I love the garaged parking for only 25 bucks more. The building is very safe and the residents are usually very friendly, an older crowd, but nice none the less. The building has an amazing history and it's kind of nice living in a historical landmark. To those that have complained, maybe you should try dealing with the manager of the building and not her assistant. As far as maintenance is concerned, I don't see how many things could possibly need maintenance as the apartments aren't more than 7 years old. This place really is great to live in and for the price and authenticity, can't be beat!
