poorly managed, owners are to blame

I lived in this place for 3 years. It's more than I'd like to admit. It's nice having cheap rent and living close to the university. You get what you pay for, unfortunately.
It was for 2 1/2 years, there was a full time manager and things generally got done properly. There is only one maintenance guy in the whole place. This guy is a blue-collar-superman-jack-of-all-trades.
On the third year, the owners fired the manager and kept the office open 2 hours a day. What's even worse was they made the overworked maintenance guy the new manager. Talk about a really cheap way to save money. On top of that, they raised the rent again!!
After that happened, I didn't even finish my lease. I subleased it to someone else who needed some place cheap. My lease prison is finally up, and I'm living in a nicer place.
You only get one parking spot. If you have a second car, you have to park it next to the curb on the side street. There is no lighting there and cars are burglarized all the time, including mine!
