Nice place...

I don't pay rent here but I am living with my husbands family here temporarily and I've been to this apartment complex a lot in the past year. It's a nice place, quiet, and well kept. With most apartment complexes you must notify the staff of anyone and everyone living in the apartment at any time and usually expected to have a background check done on them and be put on the lease as an occupant but the staff at this complex has seen myself and my husband here and they don't mind. In fact the staff is really sweet. If you're out on your patio or balcony and they're walking by, they'll take the time to stop and say hi and ask how you are. They also do lots of little things like dropping goodies by your apartments on holidays or having sweets or breakfast in the office and they aren't even stingy about it, they tell you to come back for seconds if you'd like. I've seen a lot of complaints about maintenece here and they haven't had to come to our apartment at all for anything so far but I do see them everyday walking around the apartment complex doing things ( and no I don't just see them by chance I'm not working while I'm pregnant so I'm here all day and trust me, I see everything ).I also see that people complain about hearing their neighbors but this is an apartment complex, not a subdivision, you are going to hear footsteps but thats about it and that happens about at about 99% of apartment complexes. And the parking, 95% of the time there are plenty of parking spaces open ( except late at night when everyone is home from work and going to bed), 4% of the time you have to park in a handicapped space but I don't think anyone's ever been towed for it, ever, and 1% of the time you have to park a little far but within hours another space will open up. I think that the worst possible thing that could be said about this complex is that there are almost always leaves in the pool but trust me it's not a maintence issue, its a landscape and design problem. Putting trees by the pool when you build a complex will create that problem but the pool is still nice( the maintenence will even lend you the pool cleaning net to pick out the leaves if it really bothers you). Also, if you don't like cats or dogs, don't come here. A lot of people let their animals play outside but it's never been a problem. Most of the people here clean up after their pets and most of the pets have collars and don't stray far from their owners apartment. In fact we recently adopted the sweetest cat in the world we fear was abandoned here and though he loves having a home now, he still loves being outside. The neighbors here are so sweet they'll call him over and pet him and play with him. For people like myself this place is way over my budget but if you can afford this place and prefer this side of town do yourself a favor and try it out. Trust me I've lived in apartment complexes with mold, bugs, illegal immigrants, possoms, and the worst ( See Vista del Rey, my post is Hell On Earth) and this place is like heaven compared to that!
