When I was looking for a place to live, location, price, and quality were high on my list. As a medical student, I wanted to be close to the med center, and I didn't want a run-down apartment, but I knew I couldn't pay 1000 a month in rent.

Thankfully, I found CP. It's about 5 minutes from the med center, and is probably within walking/biking distance if you wanted. Rent is reasonable and reflects the nicer quality of the community and the units. Most residents are affiliated with UTHSCSA or working professionals, and there seems to be more families with children here than in the past.

The layout is great, and they have kept the apartments modern and well-maintained. For example, they switched out all showerheads awhile back to ones that save water for free. If you have any maintenance issues, it's usually due to normal wear and tear, and the maintenance guys are awesome-very friendly and competent. The staff is very personable and eager to please. They are more than willing to go out of their way to make CP pleasant for residents.

What would I change' Unfortunately, CP isn't in the greatest part of town, so it's easily accessible for small-time criminals. The complex is double gated with cameras and has a courtesy officer from SAPD who patrols, so I think that increases security. I would love some sort of recycling program--I feel it would be a much better use of time and resources than being able to have your dry cleaning picked up.

Overall, CP has the normal drawbacks of apartment living such hearing your neighbors occasionally, but it also has many perks. It's definitely a place I can see myself spending all four years in SA at, and I know I'm not the only one!!
