I have now lived at Cenizo for close to year and am due to renew my lease at the end of October. However, I have just found that Heather, the former manager will no longer be there and I have to admit that she was the reason why Cenizo was a great apartment complex. I am waiting until then to see how the new management behaves and compares to Heather but I am afraid I might move out. I would advise anybody interested in moving at Cenizo to maybe wait a couple of months so that current tenants can share their impressions of the new management. Other than this surprising change which makes me, against my will, evaluate whether or not I am going to stay here, I love the place. The neighbors are nice, the former management was SUPER friendly and accommodating, the apartments big, very pet friendly and the grounds are just fantastic. If I could just have one complaint it would be that the material used in the kitchen and bathroom is kind of cheap (flooring, cabinets, etc...)

I to am worried about Heather not running the place. I remember the old management (before Heather) and it took 6 weeks to have my sink fixed that spewed water everywhere after repeated calls. When Heather took over colorful plants started being planted and my sink was fixed. I am apprehensive about the "new" management only because all the old people are gone, it was a clean house project. I can't help but wonder because I am getting the impression that the cost cutting measure will severely impact the desirability of this complex. If there is no money to keep the same people that are doing a good job, then is there money to run the place adequately? I think people looking at this complex should start looking at the 78209 are code before this place is liquidated and demolished.

I was also going to renew my lease at the end of the year, but I won't be now that Cenizo Flats has hired new management. The owners must not understand that this is a "community" and not a large apartment complex. I refuse to become just an apartment number. When I walk into the office at Cenizo Heather greets me by name and actually asks and cares about my family. I will not be renewing my lease and urge others to think twice about moving here now that the sense of community will be gone.

I also live here and am so sad to see Heather go. I for one would be happy to pay extra rent to keep her around if this was a cost cutting issue.

I second everything said in this review. The change in management is very disappointing. Heather has been the best apartment manager I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I will be keeping a close eye on how the new company operates and think carefully before I renew my lease next time.

I have lived at several apartment's throughout my life and I can honestly say that we have been lucky to have had Heather as long as we did. The staff changes in the apartment business are normally quite frequent. I have actually lived at a Capstone managed property before and they are a really good company. I think everyone here needs to give them a chance. I have been to the office to meet the new Manager and she seems very nice and capable of doing a wonderful job.

I've lived in a BUNCH of apartments, and agree that some of them change managers quite frequently. In my experience, though, those rapid changes have signaled a decline in the property. Nothing against Capstone, either (they seem to be doing all right thus far); I just think Heather didn't get a fair shake from the owner.
