I have lived here for one year and it has been the longest and most stressful year of my life. From the beginning chapel Ridge has been disappointing. First it was signing the lease by being promised one apartment and then actually getting an old looking one. My dishwasher has never worked, me bathroom ceiling leaks, me closet and laundry room has mold, my ac is broken -yes right in the middle of summer-, my walls just have patches where there have been many holes, my water doesn't get hot, and my freezer does not freeze. I have put many reports on all of this but i always get the run around and then they act like i didnt put work orders in. And lets not forget the many cars that were stolen, spray painted, tires slashed, and broken into. My car has been broken into twice, my neighbors car tires were slashed as well as his bike tires, and his fiance' car was stolen. Of course all the management has to say is that it is not their fault yet when they found out who was at fault they did not press charges they let him move out in the middle of the night when no one would know. So everyone who had these things happen to you this is why he isn't paying! Oh and of course there is the fact that every month they try to say you didn't pay something and will stick with their bs until you show them your proof and then magically it all appears on their computer screen. All of this is just the beginning so i hope that no one will be dumb enough to sign here! They get you with the amenities but the suanas are broken the heated pool has stopped heating the hot tubs are broken everything in the fitness center is broken and the outdoor pools are always filled with high school kids getting drunk and having sex. This is definetly th worst place i have ever lived and I am so thankful my time here is done!

Just an FYI... They didn't actually release my security deposit until July 3, 2008, even though I moved out on March 31,2008. They forgot the fact that they are LEGALLY required to return the deposit (or a letter stated why they aren't returning it) within 30 days of the move out. I followed the letter of the law when it came to giving my 60 day notice, and left the apartment in a better condition than when I found it.
If I had the time I would have taken them to court, and I really should have. Because they didn't follow the law I had the right to take them to court and sue them for 3 TIMES what they owed me. And I would have won. Please keep every single receipt they give you and get everything in writing with the signature of someone in the office receiving a copy. It could save you a great amount of cash and heartach.

If you end up in a situation like this again, might I suggest sending a letter registered mail stating what needed to be fixed. This gives the apartments 7 days to fix what needs to be fixed and if they don't you can take it to the housing department to void your lease. I was let out of my lease at Chapel Ridge because racoons dug a hole in my kitchen ceiling and management did not fix it for over a month (I still have the pics to prove it) until I sent them a letter and called the health department. After that the managment was more than happy to end my lease early and I have not lived in a Lynd property since.

I had to send two certified letters. One to Lynd company themselves and one to the office to get a work order that was put in 2 months ago. The work was done the next day. They won't take care of the racoon problems because they say they will just come back or it is my neighbors fault for leaving trash out. My vehicle got broken into and wasn't stolen for a safety device on it. Office staff is unfriendly and don't care since it isn't their living courters. A/C went out and took them 5 days to fix. Was not offered to stay in a modeled apartment or hotel. I have found the heated pool not properly chemically took care of which can cause health issues. There isn't anything nice I can say about this place.
