Ive lived here about a year and a half. The office staff is friendly and helpful if there is an issue even after you fill out your application and possibly sign a lease. Even though they've had afew change overs in management. The new ones are doing a good job at cleaning the place up. However poor neibors are still on a lease but once that is up they are trying to remove the troublesome residents.
The maintenance used to be VERY BAD, but also since the latest management the maintenance has also changed (for the better). The old maintenance threw a fit when they had to come to my apt on Thanksgiving when I had no hot water but after 16 hours it was resolved. The new ones response time for other issues is alot better and more friendly.
As for crime its most certainly an issue. As for the gates they have worked I think 5 times since ive lived here.
All in all if it fits your financial situation I would recommend this place. But definatly 2 bits of advice if you do. One make sure you keep after your children because they will call children youth services. Secondly pay your rent on time and you will be ok.
