This is the WORST place to rent from .They will go in your apt and take your Tv
etc if you are late on rent .Is that even legal ' The places are old run down .My apartment flooded .I was there 3 weeks .They said wish you would have had renters insurance .I had worms and roaches too .The maintness cant speak English at all.Its says play ground NO state of the art laundrymat OMG no windows and nasty .Rains in.

No, it is not legal for apartments to take your property because you are late on rent. Read your renter's rights. It cleary states that is an illegal act and is considered theft. They must follow normal late rent procedures (late fees, etc) then go through an eviction process if it continues. Report them to police if they do not give it back and let others know who live there that they are being scammed.

The Texas Apartment Association lease clearly describes the lien process and it is legal rent is not paid on time
