We lived in the Bluffs for nearly a year. It seemed all fine and dandy until about a month into our lease, we had no hot water. We complained multiple times and maintence never came to check it out. Finally, I called the office and the office manager told me that.. and I quote.. there is nothing wrong with your water ma'am. So, I told her to come up and take a shower and then see how she felt in the dead of winter. Then, in the summer our air conditioner broke, maintence again never came. FINALLY when I complained enough, they finally came to fix it, but barely. Part of the problem was because the windows and doors are not sealed properly and these let most of the air out. I kid you not, our CPS bill was 400 dollars for one month of usage. (WE are still trying to pay that balance off). The last straw was when I asked them to come fix a leaky fridge, they fixed it once and of coarse, the next week it started leaking again, so I called them again. By this time, they know me not by apartment number but by first name. So maintence came to fix our fridge, I guess they were hungry and thirsty when they came up, because they helped themselves to some pizza and some drinks in my fridge. I know this because the container I had for the drinks, was empty and catching the water in the fridge that was still leaking. On top of that the gates never work, and our downstairs neighbors were a constant thorn in my side. By this time most of the neighbors had abandoned their leases, probably for the same problems, but this one would leave her kids at home to look after themselves while she went to strip at a club, one night they nearly set my apartment on fire popping fireworks in the apartment!!
The gates never work, maintence is less than shotty and when sun goes down, you feel like you should be in constant fear for your life. The only thing this place has going for it is the wonderful pool they have and the fireplace (that doesn't work). Oh yes.. and the wonderful view it has out on the rotten deck. If you are smart and like to see your money go to some place nice, this is not the place!! We payed over 800 dollars for a two bedroom with no air conditioning, hot water or fridge. Now I know why we only paid a dollar down for this apartment.
