If you're a poor student, or don't want to waste a fortune renting, then you may want to consider The Bluffs. Yes, there are a variety of negative items associated with this complex, but there are also some positive aspects. The gym is good, the new office personnel are really helpful and knowledgable, and neighbors are decent. I don't use the pool, but it seems to be very well taken care of. The apartments are indeed old and things often will break or go out (e.g., air conditioner, etc.), but the new management and staff fix things quickly. All in all, I would recommend this apt complex to people who are not easily disturbed by the "small things" in life. I'm moving out in August and I can say that it has been an "okay" experience. I have not personally had to deal with any crime, that is my car or apartment was never broken into, and my neighbors have been nice (although, my immediate neighbor does play his/her music very loud and late into the night on occasion). Overall, with the new management, I woul say give it a shot.
