A week after we moved in, I was advised by a friend that the bluffs were quaintly known as "the Machine Gun Bluffs." In all sincerity, I have found just the opposite to be true. All of my neighbors are bearable, the maintenance men are prompt and respectful, and they advise you to put all orders in writing through the office to get things done. The buildings are old, but the new management has worked wonders, re-siding, repainting, and even reconstructing the buildings... and the porches. The view is magnificent and there is nothing quite as spectacular as walking out on your porch and having a 10 point buck staring up at you waiting to see if you will feed him.
Any noise usually comes from the religious high school next door having chrisitian rock concert/pep rallies in the evening! The fireworks scared the crap out of everyone in the building.
One negative point would be communication between management and the residents. My girlfriend and I were lying naked in bed around 10am one morning, when our bedroom window was completely removed by the workers outside. In the workers defense, it was a school day and we usually aren't home at that time, so with the shades drawn they had no idea we were in there and didn't actually see us. The management apologized profusely. We still laugh to this day... Ah, the stuff memories are made of...
