Great apartment, nice management...area, not so great

I lived here from May '06 to May '07. I can't remember what my rent was...probably between $580 and $630' I absolutely loved my huge and gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment and miss my garden tub. I was surprised by the quality of the place since its income required. It was very nice and they didn't appear to 'cut corners' in building materials.

I moved because of the location and some of the other residents. There's lots of 'shady' looking people in the area and living on the property as well. When I first moved there they were brand new and I noticed mostly single moms with kids living there. After a while more and more scary looking people moved in and had loud parties on most nights, not just weekends. I usually only noticed that when driving around. I did have a few occasions where I could hear my neighbors fighting and people playing loud music outside while I was inside my apartment. But, you'll find inconsiderate people anywhere and if you're in an apartment, sharing walls with others, you will hear them from time to time.

Management was always so nice. They may not have always known what they were doing (as someone else stated) but they eventually got it right and it was never a big deal. At least they were so nice and understanding.

Parking was rarely a problem. Most days I could park right in front of my door and have room for a guest also.

Someone stated that the application process takes so long and YES it does, but it's income requirements and the government requires all those forms and it just takes a while for all of that to process to make sure no one is taking advantage. Thats how all income req places are. I would have stayed there except one night I heard gun shots (not on the property but probably on Ray Bon which runs behind it) and that was just it for me. It was just in time for me to give my notice to vacate!
