Not so bad

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
I've lived at Costa del Sol for two years and don't have too many complaints. I renewed my lease once since my rent only went up $5 but I'll probably move out to get a two bedroom somewhere else. Generally speaking its a typical apartment with typical apartment problems that I think you would find most anywhere.
Pros:
-Pretty good for the money although I'm not sure what they are charging for the upgraded apartments. Free w/d and free covered parking isn't too bad. I couldn't find any other place in this same area with that. They also don't charge pet rent which is big for me.
-Pretty quiet, at least where I'm at. My upstairs neighbor is loud when he walks into his apartment but I think thats just thin floors, I've never heard my two side neighbors.
-Never had a problem with parking, in my area at least. I've parked in the same spot for almost the whole time I've lived here
-I've had a few maintenance requests, they were all done within 48 hours. One took a bit longer but it wasn't anything critical.
-There was apparently a robbery in an apartment but I've personally never experienced any problems with crime.
Cons
-Apartments are OLD...the appliances are pretty old. They work for the most part, just old.
-Office hours can be a pain. If you need to get a package on the weekend, there is usually only one person working and they are almost always out showing apartments. They also close at six which can be tough to make depending on your job.
-There seems to be a few abandoned cars in the parking lot...they put tow notices on them but they never get towed.
-I did have a roach problem but I just bought some home bug spray at HEB and sprayed my place, seemed to work pretty well.
